Intimate Prayer celebrates the mysterious flow of love between God, you and others through prayer. Featured here are a variety of prayer styles which aim to direct your heart toward God.
"Prayer is the inner bath into which the soul plunges itself." - St. John Vianney

Purpose: IF the desire of your heart is to be fully alive, awake and in love with God, centered in Christ, become stronger in faith, Spirit-led, more authentically the person you were created to be, and compassionately engaged in the world, THEN you must "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17). My prayer is that you will find here many ways to align your heart with God's heart and keep the sacred lines of communication open.

Suzanne Halstead, Artist, Educator, Retreat & Workshop Leader
"The process of creating is life at it's fullest, seining the soul to bring vision into being." (my quote) Suzanne has been making art since she was a young child. She believes we are all gifted with the ability to create by our Loving Creator. Her artwork has been used in company logos, religious and retreat programs, and is in many private collections around the country.
Suzanne's formal studies earned her a BFA at Syracuse University, NY in Fine Arts & Art Education and a MA in Education with a focus on Creativity, Play and Informal Learning Settings from Concordia University, IL. Suzanne is a retreat leader, workshop presenter and has taught art and experiential learning with young children through adults in schools, museums, art studios and retreat centers for over 30 years. She is also a museum professional with a focus on education, exhibits and public programs. Suzanne is a person of faith, a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, and believes we do our best work when we bring our whole self to the creative process. She is working collaboratively with Wanda Schwandt, MDiv, on Art & Soul Workshops and Retreats that invite participants to go deeper in their relationship with the Holy through experiences in the arts, journal writing, prayer practices and worship.
